DLBP makes positive progress to Spring Lake Village rezonin

DLBP is pleased to share its progress on its Spring Lake Village rezoning application.

Last week, the US team issued notices for the public hearing to over 200 property owners within the vicinity of the subject site.  These notices included a project briefing and site plan to provide neighbors with information about the proposal, as well as details regarding two public hearings scheduled for September.

In addition, DLBP posted notices at the property for public awareness, per the county’s rezoning application requirements.

Given the rounds of bad weather here in the metro area, DLBP will be visiting the site regularly to ensure the signs remain in good condition and are visible to passers-by.

With these two milestones checked off our list, the team can now focus on reviewing the county’s preliminary feedback on the proposal, which was generally positive.

As a result of DLBP’s extensive research into the county’s zoning ordinance and other recent rezoning cases, the team was well-prepared to receive and integrate comments from the county into the proposal.

Over the coming weeks, DLBP will be working to address each comment with site plan and proposal updates to ensure traffic, stormwater, utility, and other requirements are sufficiently satisfied.

We look forward to progressing this effort in preparation for our September hearings.
