DLBP Takes on GPA

Last week, DLBP Atlanta travelled to Savannah, Georgia to attend the Georgia Planning Association’s Fall Conference.  The DLBP team attended a variety of breakout sessions, including AICP exam preparation sessions, and lectures on multi-modal transportation, climate change impacts in Georgia, and messaging strategies for planning materials.

Not only did we expand our knowledge while at GPA, but we also had the opportunity to explore Georgia’s first planned city! Artagus Newell participated in a port authority tour, Devynn Glanz and Dominic Lawson attended a historical housing preservation and rehabilitation tour, and Caroline Burnette joined a bicycle tour exploring Savannah’s canal district.

DLBP is very grateful for this enjoyable, educational, and engaging opportunity to connect with other planners in Georgia and we look forward to attending more conferences in the future!
