Hall County Pre-application Meeting

Earlier this week, DLBP Atlanta met with planning and zoning staff in Hall County, Georgia to discuss an exciting new project that is seeking rezoning. Hall County is located to the northeast of Atlanta and is home to Lake Lanier, the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, and is a high-growth community boasting ever increasing residential, commercial, and recreational options. Hall County is also a the medical and education hub for Northeast Georgia, which all combines to make this a dynamic target for new residential options – in fact, Bankrate named the area the “hottest housing market in the country” in a 2023 report!

With any rezoning application, DLBP takes a holistic approach in preparing materials, which includes conducting research, meeting with community stakeholders, discussing plans with city and/or county staff, and working closely with clients to ensure their goals are met. We believe it is important to understand not only the subject property and immediate adjacent area, but also the larger landscape, including older and newer developments.

DLBP met with Hall County planning and zoning staff to hear their perspective on the community’s desires and to understand how we can best assist our clients in pursuing the best way forward in a zoning request. Speaking early and often with staff, volunteer, and elected officials is crucial in carrying a zoning request through from start to finish, and the DLBP team is equipped to navigate this process on behalf of our clients!
