DLBP ATTENDS AND SPONSORS BISNOW’S ENGAGING ATLANTA CONSTRUCITON AND DEVELOPMENT EVENT

The DLBP Atlanta team had a fantastic time recently attending and sponsoring Bisnow’s Atlanta Construction and Development event.

This event provided the team with a valuable platform to engage with prominent stakeholders and consultants within the real estate, planning, construction, and development sectors.  The event also provided an insight into a number of upcoming projects in Georgia, and the Atlanta Metropolitan area more specifically.

The event included several engaging lectures, including one focusing on the renovation of Gwinnett Place.  Gwinnett Place promises to be a significant contributor to Gwinnett County's economic growth, aiming to accommodate over 42,000 residents and create 41,000 jobs.  This project embraces a master plan rooted in mixed-use development, featuring housing intertwined with green spaces, public parks, retail spaces, and office complexes, and presents an intriguing opportunity for adaptive reuse in line with the current revitalization trends seen in Georgia and across the United States. The strategic location of Gwinnett Place near a MARTA station, which will be expanded as part of the master plan, emphasizes a commitment to promoting multi-modal transportation, a crucial aspect for equitable housing and mixed-use development.

Another interesting lecture, entitled "Vitalizing a City – Tapping into the Potential for Reuse”, expanded on the theme of revitalization and reuse and promoted practices of creating a sense of place and engaging with the community; themes that align with DLBP's core approach to re-zoning proposals.

DLBP prioritizes crafting proposals that foster liveable, secure, and high-quality communities where residents will actively choose to reside.  Central to our approach is to actively engage with community members, including residents, community leaders, stakeholders, planning staff, and commissioners.  Through this continuous communication, we ensure that everyone's input is considered, resulting in comprehensive proposals that leave all parties satisfied.

DLBP Atlanta's participation in the Bisnow Atlanta Construction and Development event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with industry professionals, gain insights into new and exciting projects, and reinforce our commitment to creating liveable, sustainable, and community-centered developments.

We very much look forward to attending similar events in the future so to continue to expand and improve our knowledge on new developments in the industry.
