Our history
Since 2010, DLBP has secured 464 permissions or entitlements across 242 individual properties. These projects span luxury homes, complex urban sites, adaptive reuse, airspace development, major residential schemes, and new communities.
Our success rate is 96%. Our achievements include securing approvals for more than 7,600 homes, 2,786 senior-living units, and over 2 million square feet of commercial space.
Dominic Lawson founded DLBP in London in 2010 after a career spanning local government, regeneration, and leading property consultancies. He established DLBP to provide expert, commercial planning advice focused on delivery. From the outset, DLBP aimed to do more than interpret planning rules: it helped property owners and development teams strengthen proposals, navigate complex decisions, and secure approvals, to enable the development to be profitably built-out.
From its London base, DLBP grew into a recognized specialist consultancy with up to 15 professionals on staff.
In 2022, Dominic Lawson expanded DLBP into the United States, opening an Atlanta office with a team of four American professionals. The move built on his long-standing study of American cities, development patterns, and planning systems, bringing DLBP’s delivery-focused model to a new market.
In 2026, DLBP relocated its base from London and Atlanta to Palm Beach, marking the next stage in the firm’s development.
